3 Things You Need to Know:

  1. The new Medicare ID cards have also brought a new wave of Medicare scammers. With Medicare, as a rule, you will not be contacted over the phone (all communication is sent through the mail) so it is never OK to give out any personal data to a caller, particularly your Social Security number or banking information.
  2. The Medical Commission’s annual conference will be focusing on Patient Engagement. This conference is free and open to the public.  More information can be found here.
  3. LIFEHACK: You can prevent food borne illness by dropping your eggs into a bowl of water. Eggs suitable for consumption will sink, while old eggs will float and should be thrown out.
