January 2022
We’re kicking off 2022 with a more modern newsletter format. Known previously as the "Frontline Employee" newsletter, we've simplified the title to be more inclusive of those who might not consider themselves to be on the front lines. Also, the email you'll receive now provides previews of articles with links to the full content, available on the Department of Enterprise Services' Medium blog under Employee Assistance Program. And we’ve added a “Research & Resources” section with information on current issues which might be of help to you.
What hasn't changed is our commitment to provide information that supports your health, safety and well-being as public service employees. Going forward, we hope you'll share EAP newsletters with your coworkers, because you never know the difference you might make in someone's life. Thank you for reading, and welcome to the new year.

Rekindling hope
If you’re like us here at the Washington State Employee Assistance Program, you might be wondering what the coming months will hold. Do we dare set goals or dream larger? Will our professional and personal plans come to fruition, or be further postponed? This month, we’re exploring the idea of hope – where does it come from, how do we cultivate it, and why it’s vital to our well-being.
