This webinar will explore practical approaches to public engagement that can help communities prepare for and respond to a wide range of disasters. Participants will learn how to identify key partners and stakeholders, explore effective ways to inform and engage the public, educate decision-makers, and use public awareness as a powerful tool for disaster preparedness and recovery.

Drawing on their experience working with communities affected by flooding and wildfires, the presenters Melissa Wyllie and Adrian Scott Fine, will share real-world examples and strategies that can be adapted to different hazards and the unique needs and priorities of communities across the country.
