At the Jan. 14, 2026, regular meeting of the Walla Walla City Council, the Councilmembers elected Gustavo Reyna as Mayor and Steve Moss as Mayor Pro Tem. They will serve in these positions for a two-year term — 2026 and 2027.
In the Council-Manager system, the Mayor presides at council meetings and is recognized as the head of the City for ceremonial purposes, but has no regular administrative duties. The Mayor Pro Tem performs mayoral duties when the Mayor is absent or temporarily unable to serve.
