Feb. 20 Route 240 Changes
Community Transit sent this bulletin at 02/02/2012 10:00 AM PSTCommunity Transit will have major service changes starting Monday, Feb. 20. All routes will be affected.
Starting Feb. 20, Route 240 will have major routing changes:
- Revised route will cover western portion of current Route 240 between Smokey Point and Stanwood. New Route 220 will cover the current eastern portion of Route 240.
- Service in Stanwood will be streamlined; route begins at Stanwood Station and operates on 276th Street instead of 272nd Street.
- Two buses each direction will continue to pull into Warm Beach Senior Community; all other trips will serve stops outside Warm Beach on Marine Drive.
- Buses will not pull into Stanwood Senior Center but will serve stops nearby.
The new Route 240 schedule weekday service will operate hourly at peak periods starting Feb. 20.
- Weekdays frequency will be reduced during midday; buses every two hours.
- Saturday service will be reduced from every hour to approximately every two hours.
- NOTE: Both schedules for Route 240 on Page 105 of the new Bus Plus book are Saturday schedules. The Stanwood to Smokey Point schedule on that page was inadvertently labeled the Monday-Friday schedule.
You can plan your trip now.
Route 240 Rider Tips:
- Transfers between Routes 220 and 240 are planned into the schedules to the extent possible at Smokey Point–either at stops near the transit center or near the Stillaguamish Senior Center. Transfers between some trips may have a longer wait time than others–check schedules.
