Emmett Heath named to Hall of Fame
The Transportation Choices Coalition inducted Community Transit CEO Emmett Heath into its Transportation Hall of Fame in September. In the inducting, TCC said he is being honored for his more than 40 years of public service, including 15 years at Community Transit.
"Emmett has focused his work at Community Transit around community-oriented transit service, connecting people to opportunities throughout Snohomish County and creating a long term vision of transit expansion. He built up the Swift Bus Rapid Transit program, increasing speed and reliability of transit in the region. Throughout the pandemic, Emmett has centered essential travel for those who need it most, now and into the future. Emmett has been a great partner to TCC and we will miss his leadership."
Emmett was recognized along with Rob Gannon, King County Metro General Manager, who recently stepped down to take a position in Montana. For more awards info, visit TTC's news page.
Founded in 1993, Transportation Choices Coalition is a policy and advocacy nonprofit dedicated to making transportation accessible to all in Washington State. They pass policies that support more transit, bike, and pedestrian improvements at the state, regional, and local levels.

Fall 2020 CTR Survey is Underway, ends Oct. 31
The bi-annual CTR Survey is well-underway with more than 15 sites that have either completed or are in the process of surveying. If you haven't already set your survey week, you have only three weeks to complete this mandatory survey by Oct. 31.
