Airport Rd. (Area 1)
Steel frames for future Swift stations have been installed at most station sites in Area 1. The complete frame consists of three vertical posts, one horizontal beam, and a series of "outriggers" across the horizontal beam, which will eventually support the roof of the station.
128th/132nd St. (Area 2)
One lane of traffic will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following stations next week while crews pour concrete for sidewalks and curbs.

Wednesday, May 16
- Westbound, 132nd St. and 16th Ave.
Monday, May 14 and Friday, May 18
Bothell-Everett Hwy., Trillium Blvd. to 180th St. (Area 3)
Most of the work in Area 3 focuses on excavation and drainage. The following stations are scheduled for nighttime (8 p.m. to 4 a.m.) work next week:
- Northbound, Bothell-Everett Hwy. and 153rd St.
- Southbound, Bothell-Everett Hwy. and 153rd St.
- Northbound, Bothell-Everett Hwy. and 180th St.
- Southbound, Bothell-Everett Hwy. and 180th St.
Daytime (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) drainage and concrete work is also scheduled in Area 3 next week as follows:
- Southbound, Bothell-Everett Hwy. and Trillium Blvd.
- Northbound, Bothell-Everett Hwy. and 153rd St.
- Southbound, Bothell-Everett Hwy. and 180th St.

 Widening Project Stays Focused on East Side of I-5
The 128th Street widening project is making progress on the east side of I-5 as crews finish much of the concrete work between 3rd Ave. and the southbound I-5 on-ramp.
Weather permitting, the last of the concrete will be poured next week, completing driveways, sidewalks and curbs on the westbound side of 128th St.
Other work going on in this area focuses on the area near the southbound I-5 on-ramp, where night crews have been performing electrical work on the traffic signal. Nighttime work is expected to continue in this area for another 3-4 weeks.

 Mechanical Building and Concrete Making Good Progress
When you drive by the site of the future transit center, you can see one permanent structure among the construction crews' vehicles and mobile offices. This is the building that will house the transit center's mechanical controls, including the electrical panel, security systems, and water and sprinkler controls.
The mechanical building looks a little strange right now, sort of half-dressed, with masonry only on the bottom half of the building. By June, however, the masonry and metal roof will be complete and its electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems in place.
Outside the building, almost one acre of concrete has been poured at the site of the future transit center, and there is more to come over the next 2-3 weeks. The curving bus lanes are nearly complete; next will come the platforms and finally the sidewalks.
75th Street
One lane of eastbound 75th Street will be closed as needed to allow concrete vehicles access to the site. Lane closures will have flaggers on site and are expected to continue through the end of May.

Swift Blue Line Stations Getting a Facelift
The Swift Blue Line provides bus rapid transit service on Highway 99, serving 29 stations between its terminals at Everett Station and Aurora Village Transit Center. The Blue Line has been in operation since 2009.
Swift Blue Line's stations are getting a facelift this year, with ticket machine upgrades wrapping up as a repainting project is kicking off.
Ticket Machine Upgrades Moving Northward
The process of upgrading the ticket vending machines at each Swift Blue Line station is more than half complete.
Upgrades have been completed at the Everett Station northern terminal, all southbound stations, the Aurora Village Transit Center southern terminal, and five of the northbound stations.
Upgrade crews will continue moving northward until all upgrades have been installed. The process should be complete in 3-4 weeks.
Swift Blue Line Stations to be Repainted
The Swift Blue Line stations are ready for a fresh coat of paint!
This spring and summer, all 33 Swift Blue Line stations will be repainted. Each station will be closed off for about a week during repainting, so the work can be done quickly and in an environmentally safe manner.
Repainting is expected to begin later this month and continue through the end of summer.
Northbound Casino Rd. Station Briefly Blocked on Monday
On May 14, concrete work unrelated to Swift will take place in front of the northbound Casino Rd. station. Swift buses will stop at the Everett Transit bus stop about 120 feet north of the station from 9 a.m. until about 2 p.m. on Monday.
Riders purchasing tickets with cash will be able to access the ticket vending machines as usual.
Cherry Hill Station Repair Complete
Vehicular damage has been repaired at the Cherry Hill station at 176th St. with the exception of the "next bus" information sign. The sign will be out of order through next week.

 Construction Includes Four Areas, Several Stages
The Swift Green Line will run between the Canyon Park Park & Ride in Bothell and the Seaway Transit Center, which is currently under construction near the Boeing Everett plant.
Swift Green Line buses will serve 34 stations at 16 intersections and two terminals every 10 minutes weekdays, and every 20 minutes nights and weekends.
Community Transit is building the stations in stages: underground utility work, concrete platforms, and finally the station structures.
Construction began in Area 1, the northernmost part of the route, and will generally move east and south, resulting in each station being visited several times in 2018.
Swift stations will provide weather protection, seating, adequate lighting, real-time next bus signs, and a rider information kiosk. ORCA smart card readers and ticket vending machines will provide quick and easy ways for riders to pay their fare before boarding a Swift bus.
The Swift Green Line will connect with the Swift Blue Line at Hwy 99 & Airport Rd., establishing Snohomish County’s first high-capacity transit network. The network will eventually include more Swift lines and Link light rail.
The Swift Green Line will begin service in spring 2019.
