Thursday, November 8 at 6:30 PM. Auburn Avenue Theater, 10 Auburn Ave. Free. Doors open at 5:30 PM.
World War II USS Indianapolis Tribute, with survivor George Horvath as the guest of honor. You are invited to hear, firsthand, about the harrowing ordeal of men fighting
for their lives in shark-infested water, unaware that their SOS calls had been ignored as a Japanese hoax.

The breakfast is co-sponsored by the American Legion Post #78 and the City of Auburn. The breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, ham and juice or coffee.
Static Display & Exhibit Showcase
Saturday, November 10 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Division Street SE
Take time to visit the displays and booths to view military equipment and vehicles and veterans and/or military information.
Remembrance Ceremony and Lighting of the Flame
Saturday, November 10, 9:45 AM - 10:15 AM. Veterans Memorial Park, 411 E Street NE.
The flame is lit and guarded through the night at the Veterans Memorial at Wreath placement, rifle salute, prayers and taps encompass this ceremony. Also included is Auburn Garden Club Blue Star Marker Dedication, Veterans Mural dedication and Poem from Auburn’s Poet Laureate Dick Brugger. (program attached)
Veterans Day Parade Curb Competition
Saturday, November 10 – 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.
Back again this year, the Curb Competition is for those organizations, clubs and individuals who do not fit the requirements to participate in the parade. Participants will set-up along the parade route from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM between Auburn Ave/A Street SE and E Street NE. Awards will be given in three categories: Best Curb Appeal, Most Patriotic and Best Salute to Veterans. Another great way to honor our Veterans!
Veterans Day Parade
Saturday, November 10 – 11:00 a.m.
The 47th annual Veterans Day Parade boasts almost 200 units and over 5,500 parade participants, including over 25 marching bands, military vehicles, veterans' units, honor guards and more. The one-mile parade route travels west along Main Street to A Street NW.
Veterans Day Marching Band Competition
Auburn Memorial Stadium, 801 Fourth Street NE – beginning at 1:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Marching Band Competition is hosted by the Auburn High School Band & Choir Parents. Over 30 bands compete in the field competition. Event admission is charged at the door.

Auburn Noon Lions Veterans Day Luncheon – SOLD OUT
Saturday, November 10 from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM, first floor lobby of the One Main Building, 1 East Main Street.
The luncheon is co-sponsored by the Auburn Noon Lions Club and the City of Auburn. The lunch program honors our Veterans, with special recognition given to the American Veterans (AMVETS). The Governor's Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee's Outstanding Veterans will be honored at the lunch, along with other special presentations. (program attached)

Sweet Swing Performance
Saturday, November 10 at 6:30 PM at the Auburn Ave. Theater, 10 Auburn Avenue.
Featuring songs made famous by the wonderful talent of the Andrews Sisters, McGuire Sisters and other great artists of the era, Sweet Swing takes you back to the feelings and euphoria of being at a USO Show in the 1940's. Tickets are $10.
