The City of Auburn is pleased to announce that National Night Out will be making its in-person comeback this summer on August 2. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The event encourages dialogue between resident communities and city officials to help Auburn neighborhoods become a safer and better place to live.
Over 40 events have been registered throughout Auburn where organizers will be hosting block parties, cookouts, youth activities, and more. Your City officials, over 35 staff members and the Auburn Police Department will visit these events as a way to engage and learn more from residents on how to promote a safer Auburn.
"We are eager to get back out into our neighborhoods and connect with our residents," says Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus. "It's important for us to come together and take care of this community we all love."
National Night Out in Auburn is part of a larger national effort that is recognized by thousands of communities nationwide to increase community connectedness and safety. Learn more about National Night Out by visiting: www.natw.org.
