SKHHP is recruiting for a Program Coordinator.
The SKHHP Program Coordinator works as part of a subregional team to achieve SKHHP’s mission to create a coordinated, comprehensive, and equitable approach to increasing housing stability, reducing homelessness, and producing and preserving quality affordable housing in South King County through implementation of SKHHP’s annual work plan. With a focus this year on carrying out the first round of funding awards from SKHHP’s Housing Capital Fund. This person is also responsible for supporting the SKHHP Advisory Board which amplifies and ensures community voices lead SKHHP’s work by informing and influencing SKHHP Executive Board decisions.

Candidates with experience in some combination of equity and social justice work, affordable housing, project coordination and facilitation, community outreach and engagement, policy research, and/or data collection and analysis would be ideally suited for this role.

Affordable housing/nonprofit housing developers
Affordable rental and homeownership finance
Advisory Board members must have personal and/or professional expertise, and affiliation with agencies, coalitions, organizations, or networks from/or serving low-income households, immigrant and refugee populations, people living with disabilities and/or behavioral health needs, or people experiencing homelessness including aging adults/seniors, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, multigenerational households, people with a criminal history, veterans, and youth.
As part of SKHHP’s commitment to ensuring community voices lead their work, the SKHHP Advisory Board informs and influences SKHHP Executive Board decisions by providing recommendations that advance the broader interests of the communities they represent. SKHHP is seeking Advisory Board members who live or work in South King County and possess a personal and/or professional commitment to understanding and working to undo the impacts of institutionalized racism and disparities experienced by Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities.
The SKHHP Executive Board meets the 3rd Friday of every month from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Virtual and in person attendance information and agenda packets can be found on the SKHHP website. Upcoming meeting dates are as follows:

Affordable Housing Week
The 7th Annual Affordable Housing Week is a series of education and advocacy events that highlight the role affordable housing plays in stabilizing our communities. Each year, Housing Development Consortium (HDC) and partners bring together elected officials, city/county staff, advocates and King County residents to create momentum for investments and policies to ensure affordable, thriving and equitable communities.
