Update on local construction

Here's a brief update about what's going on for construction throughout the city from our Public Works team:

The emergency work by King County for their sewer repair on M Street NE that  has required a full time closure of the roadway from Main Street to  4th Street NE will continue through approximately May 15 including work including this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  In addition, the City has five capital projects under construction that are at various locations throughout the city involving utility and street preservation work. We also continue to see an increase in private construction as the weather gets nicer and projects are able to begin working again under the appropriate safety plans per the Governor’s orders. This includes additional essential City projects that will complete roadway improvements and preservation that we are in the process of getting underway. Information on what’s happening in Auburn can be found on our construction notices page on the City’s website and on our interactive capital project map
