Beginning Fused Glass
Astound your significant other, amaze your friends and family, be the envy of your neighborhood with your very own fused glass creations. Our 2 hour class covers basic types of fusible glass and techniques that will allow you to create two 4x4 tiles and a pendant art piece.
Your art pieces will be fired by the instructor and available for pickup 7 days after the class. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

Pysanky II - Ukrainian Easter Egg Etching
Pysanky are intricate colorful designs created on the egg shell through the layering of beeswax and dyes. Participants in this workshop need to have completed the introductory Pysanky workshop. You will be introduced to etching a brown and white chicken egg. Students will complete two eggs, a simple star-burst design on a brown egg and a flower design on a white egg , with the traditional batik method using kistka, bees wax, dyes, and candle. Open flames will be used, so oxygen equipment cannot be used on the premises where instruction is taking place. Pre-registration required.

Japanese Orizomegami Paper Dyeing
In this fun new class students will learn the centuries-old art of traditional Japanese Orizomegami paper dyeing! Folding and dyeing absorbent Japanese paper will produce beautiful and interesting geometric patterns. Papers can be used for gift wrapping, card making, envelope lining, book binding or other creative applications. No experience is needed and all materials will be provided. Pre-registration required.

Jaleh Sadravi
Sadravi is a mixed media Northwest artist, whose powerful portraits are intended to “tell stories of people of color whose voice and story are often silenced.” Inspired by everyday people and using language as a key visual element to explore ideas of identity in their work, the artists believes that “there is much to learn from the wisdom of our neighbors and I enjoy finding ways to showcase these lessons as a model to my audience.”
