Seniors use more medicines, prescription; over-the-counter (OTC) and supplements, than any other age group in the United States. Older adults often use multiple medicines, increasing the risk of drug interactions, mix-ups and the potential for harmful side effects. The class portion of this session from 1-1:30pm will cover medication management-system/storage/record keeping, identify possible problems that can put you at risk and how to prevent them, tips to reduce medication cost. At the conclusion of this 30 minute class; Bartell pharmacy staff will do individual Medication Reviews from 1:30-2:30. Bring your medication in a bag. You must sign up for Medication Review. Reviews will be available from 1:30 – 2:30pm.
