Tax bills were mailed to the property record owner as of April 1, 2022 (Per VT Law). Please forward the bill to the new owner or email mlyons@southburlingtonvt.gov or tpoon@southburlingtonvt.gov if a copy of a tax bill is needed.

Captain Sacha LaScala Retires
On the morning of July 5th, 2022 at 0800 hours, Captain Sacha LaScala completed his last tour of duty after 35 years of service to the South Burlington Fire Department and the City of South Burlington. Thank you for your service and enjoy your retirement!

Katie O’Brien-Barritt Strikes Again!
Sunflowers abound on a new mural painted by volunteers with leadership (and a lot of brushwork) from Katie O’Brien Barritt. Located on a City wastewater pump station, this three sided mural may be viewed from Hinesburg Road at Deane Street just north of Kennedy Drive.

Projects underway, completed or getting ready to begin
- Paving on Woodcrest Dr, Deane St, has been completed
- Paving on Peterson Terrace, Barber Terrace, and Lynn Ave has been completed
- Szymanski Park - Striping and paved July 5th - Needs 30 days to cure. Lines begin on August 5th
- Dog Park Fence installation at Wheeler Park - set to begin July 25th and will take 3 weeks.
Lane Closure at 764 Shelburne Road, 7/28/22 - Traffic Announcement From VTrans
There will be a lane closure at 764 Shelburne Road on Thursday, 7/28, while VT Gas works to retire an existing gas line.
The right-hand turning lane will be closed after 9:00 AM, and work will be finished by 3:00 PM. Please plan accordingly.

In the Garden Now Showing In The Public Gallery
For the remainder of July and August, you can catch the “In the Garden” a multi-artist show in the Gallery at 180 Market Street – the public art gallery in the South Burlington Public Library and City Hall. Featuring five Vermont artists, the works revel in the summer garden and nature in a wide variety of mediums. Gregg Blasdel uses botanical objects in his aquatint etching prints.
