Hydrant flushing

The South Burlington Water Department will be shutting water off to parts of Spear Street on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at approximately 8:00 AM to replace a damaged fire hydrant. This water may be off until approximately 4:00PM.

If you are a homeowner or business owner, you should shut your inside water valve off at the meter, or the water valve on your hot water tank. If you are a tenant you are asked to contact your landlord or property management company with this information. You or your landlord/property manager are advised to shut off your inside valve at the water meter, or shut off the incoming water valve at your hot water tank.

If the water appears discolored when service is restored, please allow your cold water faucet to run until it clears.
