 Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Seasons Begins
This month, the Board of County Supervisors will kick off budget season by reviewing the proposed Capital Improvement Program on Feb. 11 and the Proposed Fiscal Year 2026 Budget on Feb. 18, outlining funding for vital county services. The community will have several weeks to provide their input and feedback to the Board before budget adoption on April 22.

 Father & Daughter Dance — A Night to Remember
Inviting all dads to enjoy a magical evening out with your special girl! The Prince William County Department of Social Services Fatherhood Initiative invites you to the Father & Daughter Dance on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 6–9 p.m. Enjoy a night filled with dancing, dinner, crafts and—most importantly—precious moments of bonding and special memories. Stay Off the Ice – Area Waters Are Unsafe
While frozen waterways might look inviting for winter fun, the Prince William County Fire & Rescue System strongly urges you to stay off the ice. In our area, ice rarely forms with the thickness or strength needed for safe activities, and its stability is often dangerously overestimated. Don’t take the risk—stay safe and avoid the ice!

Calling All Lifeguards!
Prince William Parks & Recreation is prepping for summer which means we’re looking for those amazing people who keep us safe at the pools — lifeguards. If you or someone you know is looking to be a lifeguard this summer at one of two waterparks or multiple community pools, sign-up for a swim test and interview, Monday, Feb. 5, from 5-6 p.m. We offer free training to get you certified, a flexible schedule and a summer of fun working at the pool!

Tax Support at Prince William Public Libraries
Nobody enjoys tax season—the confusing laws, the endless calculations, and the dreaded final bill. While we can’t make taxes disappear, your local library can make the process a little easier! From February through April 15, Bull Run and Chinn Libraries are teaming up with AARP to offer free tax assistance. Plus, they have helpful publications and resources to guide you every step of the way. Let Prince William Public Libraries help take some of the stress out of tax time!
