Mark your calendars! The March 2024 Dual Presidential Primary election day is just around the corner on Tuesday, March 5. If you can't make it on election day, don't worry - the last day to vote early is Saturday, March 2. Remember, every polling place will have the same contests on their ballot, and you'll be offered a Democratic or Republican Party Ballot. Please note that you can only vote on one ballot, not both. Prince William Public Libraries (PWPL) has added its "13th branch," and it's mobile! The new Mobile Library will allow PWPL to deliver books and other physical materials to local senior centers, youth centers and residents who cannot visit its libraries. The $10.3-million Fuller Road and Fuller Heights Road Improvement Project was officially completed and opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024. The project, near the entrance of Quantico Marine Corps Base, was initiated in 2009 and completed through a partnership with funding from federal, state, regional and local sources. It includes a new right-turn lane along Joplin Road headed toward northbound U.S. 1, and a realigned Fuller Heights Road intersection that provides north and southbound access with a roundabout at the intersection of Fuller Heights Road and Old Triangle Road. Prince William County Executive Christopher Shorter presented the Proposed Fiscal Year 2025 Budget to the Board of County Supervisors during their meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024. The proposed $1.77 billion general fund budget advances the board’s strategic goals and other investment priorities and meets the Board’s policies and principles of sound financial management. The budget process will take place throughout March and April with several opportunities for the public to participate. The budget adoption is scheduled for the evening Board session on April 23.
