The Prince William Board of County Supervisors recently allocated $1.2 million from the county's year-end savings to help cut the cost of residential solar installation. The One-time Fee Reduction Program for Residential Solar Projects will waive all county fees associated with residential solar installation to incentivize residents and solar contractors to install solar equipment on houses in the county. The county has also partnered with Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) to bring Solarize NOVA to county residents. Homeowners can sign up for a free solar home assessment and discounts from vetted LEAP installers through August 31, 2023.
Prince William County recently launched Fentanyl Exposed, a fentanyl overdose prevention campaign targeting at-risk youth and young adults in the greater Prince William County area. This initiative aims to educate and empower young adults and at-risk youth in the area about the dangers of fentanyl-laced substances, such as illicit pills and powders. By providing vital information on how to reduce the risk of a fatal overdose, the campaign hopes to prevent tragic outcomes and keep our community safe.

The event is a great opportunity to put a spotlight on Prince William County, with an expected 5.5 million television viewers from around the world and 140,000 to 150,000 attendees over the four days of the tournament.
