Interested in Making a Difference in Our Schools?
The City of Fairfax School Board is seeking city residents to serve as representatives on Fairfax County Public Schools advisory committees for the 2026–27 school year.
Advisory committee members help provide community perspective on important topics that support students, schools, and families across the division. Committee members typically attend one meeting per month and will meet with the City of Fairfax School Board at the end of the school year to share updates on the committee’s work.
The School Board is currently seeking representatives for the following committees:
CTEAC – Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee Supports conversations around career and technical education programs, workforce readiness, and opportunities that help students prepare for life after graduation.
ETRC – Educational Technology Review Committee A new committee focused on educational technology, digital learning tools, and how technology supports teaching and learning.
MSAOC – Minority Student Achievement Oversight Committee Reviews and discusses efforts to support student achievement, opportunity, and outcomes for minority students.
SHAC – Student Health Advisory Committee Provides input on topics related to student health, wellness, and school health programs.
This is a great opportunity for residents who care about public education and want to help represent the City of Fairfax in important school division conversations.
