Our first day of school at Fairfax HS was filled with our award-winning band, our state champion field hockey team, our regional champion football team, and our sunrise morning seniors celebrating their "last first day" with us. We were joined bright and early by WJLA channel 7 to welcome students and staff back to school. Our own superintendent Jeff Platenberg, principal Dr. Aye, and student representative Kathleen Murray spoke with reporter Joy Wang about the first day of school.  More photos here!

It has been a busy summer for the City schools. From our World Language Camp to helping students transition to a new school our teachers and administrators have been working preparing students for school.

Fairfax HS students want to welcome future Lions to FHS with a Family Festival on Friday, September 22. There will be food trucks, bouncy house, petting zoo, games, raffle, and a photo booth with mascots. Kids there by 6:30 will be able to run through the spirit tunnel on the field after the football team.  Please join us for this annual event connecting our pyramid. More information on our website.
