Bulldogs,

Though the first day of school is a little more than two weeks away, Fall sports will be in full swing this week. When you come to Westfield, we hope you like the improvements that are being made. We are so excited for you to see the Class of 2025 gifts in the hallways near Door 11. We have fresh paint, wrapped doors, and have added water bottle filling stations throughout the building, including the locker rooms. Keith Sholders also re-organized the State banners in the gym to make room for the two state championships that we won last school year. We also added new District and Region banners for our Wrestling programs. I also can’t thank our amazing custodial staff enough for their efforts to get the entire school ready for our students and teachers to return! We also celebrated our incomparable Building Engineer last week, Herb Rodruiguez, who retired after 35 years in the county and the last 10 as our Building Engineer. Be sure to thank our custodians when you see them!

The Booster Club will meet on Monday, August 10 at the Virginia Run Community Center at 6:30pm. It is a great organization and a great way to get involved and meet new people. All are welcome!

For the parents of Fall athletes, our Meet the Coaches Night will be on Tuesday, August 11. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm in the auditorium, with breakout sessions beginning around 7:30pm. Get there early and purchase new Westfield gear and Booster passes for your family!

New this Year

Fairfax County Schools will be implementing a clear bag policy for all spectators at Varsity Football games. This policy is similar to policies at pro and college stadiums. Small clutch bags, medical, and diaper bags are allowed. All schools will now have weapons detection at every varsity football game as well. Please show up early and be patient as we all work through these new procedures.

If you would like to make a contribution to our General athletics fund or towards a specific program, CLICK HERE. 100% of your contribution will go to Westfield High School and will offset the above costs.
