Navy Summer News Update 1

Dear Wonderful Navy Families,

I hope your summer is off to a great start! I just returned from chaperoning eight of our wonderful seniors at Beach Week in Myrtle Beach—we survived and had a fantastic time!

As we look ahead to the upcoming school year, I am writing to share some inevitable staffing updates and transitions within our school community.

Please join us in sending a warm farewell and a huge thank you to the following staff members:

• Sarah Jimenez (Assistant Principal): Transferred to Aldrin Elementary for a new leadership experience.

• Rama Kannan (Office Assistant): Stepping away to enjoy well-deserved time with her new grandchild in New York City!

• Isabel Balke (5th Grade AAP Teacher): Transitioning to Cunningham Park Elementary due to county staffing adjustments.

• Jada Pratt (6th Grade Teacher): Exploring new opportunities outside the field of education.

• Kristina Mirlas (Clinician): Transferred to a different school within the district.

• David Schatz (Clinical Team Member): Transferred to another FCPS school.

• Valerie Pooran (EAC Assistant): Transferred to Western High School.

• Natalie Kogan (Kindergarten Teacher): Transitioning to Oakton Elementary due to county staffing adjustments.

Change is a natural part of any vibrant school community. Whether driven by professional growth, promotions, or a desire for a fresh environment, these transitions bring exciting new chapters for everyone involved. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, passion, and love these educators poured into our students and community. They will be deeply missed!
