Flint Hill Updates

Good Afternoon Flint Hill Families,

We are entering the final days of the school year and students have much to celebrate. This week has been a busy time of classroom celebrations. Although the high heat has rearranged our field day plans, the show will go on! Field Day will take place on Monday, June 15 during specials times.

Next week, our 6th grade class will enjoy their promotion ceremony on Tuesday. We look forward to recognizing the accomplishments and growth of our oldest Falcons as they share their last few days in the FHES nest.

FCPS has also announced the early release days for the calendar next year. There will be fewer 3-hour early release days with only 4 scheduled across the school year.

Kindly,

Mr. Montaquila, Principal

Mr. Baker, Assistant Principal

Most scores are available in SIS ParentVUE. Visit FCPS’ website for additional information about how test results are reported to families

Websites for each test provide report translations and help with understanding test results. Please contact our front office with any testing questions or for additional information about how our school and teachers use test results to support student success.

School Supply Collection 6/8-6/16

Flint Hill will be donating both use and unused school supplies at the end of the year.  These will include pencils, crayons, colored pencils, markers, pink erasers, scissors, glue sticks, pencil boxes, and Expo markers.

Please talk to your student(s) about which of these items you are okay with them donating and which items you would like to return home for use at home or next school year.  We will also collect any backpacks or lunch boxes that you do not plan on reusing yourselves.  Collection boxes will be in the front hallway until the last day of school.

If you prefer that your student not donate their backup and used supplies, please communicate that to them before next week!

Thank you for helping reduce our end-of-the-year waste!
