April 10, 2026

Greetings, Lion Families,

What a whirlwind of a week it has been. Despite the shorter schedule, the energy at Fairfax High School was nothing short of electric coming back from a break. We kicked things off with our Winter and Spring Pep Rally, and seeing the smiles and spirit in the gym was the perfect way to welcome everyone back and celebrate athletics, community, and have a little fun.

Highlights of the Week

  • Pyramid Art Show: It was a wonderful evening of artistic expression and community critique. Seeing the creative trajectory of students across the Fairfax Pyramid reminds us of the incredible talent roaring in our community.
  • Theater All-Stars: Today, our halls were filled with budding performers! Our FX Players hosted theater camp sessions filled with singing, dancing, and acting. There was so much K-POP.
  • Lady Lion Soccer Camp: The soccer field was buzzing with activity as our Lady Lions led the way, mentoring young athletes and fostering a love for the game.

Celebrating Staff

This week, we took a moment to honor the dedicated professionals who keep our school running smoothly and safely.

  • Our Librarians: Thank you for making the library a dynamic hub of discovery. From research lessons to unique contests, it’s no wonder the library is packed before school, at lunch, and after school!
  • Our "PAWSome" Assistant Principals: A huge thank you to our APs. Their commitment to their content areas, their grade levels, and the safety and success of every student at FHS is truly inspiring.

Looking Ahead: All Things in Focus

Next week is all about the future. We are shifting our gaze toward what lies beyond the graduation stage.

  • Monday: Junior Focus Day This event is dedicated to "life after high school" planning. We will dive deep into college admissions, essay writing, applications, and career pathways. It’s a pivotal day for our Juniors to start turning their dreams into actionable plans.
  • Wednesday: On-Site Job Fair During Advisory, we are thrilled to partner with Fairfax City to host a job fair. This is a unique opportunity for our students to access local jobs and internships right here during the instructional day.

Let’s keep this momentum going as we head into another productive week and kick off an amazing FINAL quarter.
