A message from Principal Steven McFarlane
Kilmer Community,
Congratulations to Giau Ngo, Kilmer’s Building Supervisor, on being named Region 5’s Most Outstanding Operational Employee! On Tuesday this week, Region 5 Assistant Superintendent Becky Baenig, Region 5 Executive Principal Gordon Stokes, and Region 5 Executive Principal Chad Lehman visited Kilmer to surprise Giau with this award. This honor is very much deserved, and we’re lucky to have Mr. Ngo at Kilmer.
Also, thank you again to the PTA for Stocking-the-Fridge this past week! This thoughtful gesture goes a long way with staff and is very much appreciated.
Finally, if you haven’t already, please take the family engagement survey. Parents/caregivers should have received an email invitation with a unique survey link from FCPS. The subject line is: FCPS Family Engagement Survey. Or, use this link to take the Family Engagement Survey before it closes on March 23: https://bit.ly/FESURVEY2026
Have a wonderful weekend, and as always, reach out with any questions.
Sincerely,
Steven McFarlane
Principal
