🐾Woodlawn Pause with Ms. Hill

Hello Woodlawn Families!

Enjoy this week’s Woodlawn Pause called VOICE BREATH.

Certain types of sound frequencies can send messages to the nerves in our vocal cords and activate the relaxation response. This signals to our nervous system that we are safe and can bring the brain back into harmony during times of stress.

Using sound after taking a deep breath can amply the peaceful effects we can experience when we need to take a pause.  This is a super good practice to use when we are nervous, like before a test or having to speak in front of others.  It can also be very helpful when we are having a tough time falling asleep or experiencing some physical pain.
