FALL FESTIVAL IS FRIDAY!
Dear Fairhill Families,
We hope you had a wonderful day off yesterday and enjoyed spending time with your family!
This Friday is one of our biggest PTA events of the year — the Fairhill Fall Festival! Join us starting at 5:30 PM for an evening of fun, games, and community spirit. We can’t wait to see everyone there!
As a reminder, next week is a full five-day week, but we have two early release days:
- Wednesday 10/29: 3-hour early release (1:05 PM)
- Friday 10/31: 2-hour early release (2:05 PM)
We look forward to another great week together at Fairhill!
Warmly,
Ted & Maura
Halloween Costumes at Fairhill
Many of our Fairhill families celebrate Halloween, and this year, we’ll be in school on Friday, October 31st. We know many students will be excited to wear their costumes, and we want everyone to have a fun and safe day.
Please keep the following in mind when choosing costumes if you plan to wear them to school:
- No masks or props (including toy weapons)
- Costumes must be appropriate — nothing scary or gory, please!
- Remember, we have students as young as two years old at Fairhill, so let’s keep it friendly and fun for all.

Virginia Council on the Educational Opportunity for Military Children
The Virginia Council on the Educational Opportunity for Military Children voted on October 1, 2025, to approve as Fairhill Elementary School a recipient of the SY 2025-2026 Purple Star 3rd Award, Fairhill’s third Purple Star designation (2019-2025).
The Council recognizes that earning the award for the third time is no easy accomplishment and that by achieving this award status Fairhill has established an embedded culture of belonging and support, especially for our military connected students and families.
