Thanks so much to everyone who has already joined the Woodson PTSO for this year! You can join the PTSO by purchasing a membership on our website, through Paypal, or by stopping by the PTSO table at Back to School Night. However you choose to join, 100% of your contribution goes straight to the work we do to support the Woodson teachers and community. The PTSO supports many important initiatives at Woodson, including a grant program, teacher and staff appreciation programs, and community support programs. However, we can’t carry out these programs without your support!!
Ways to Support the PTSO
You can choose from a variety of membership levels, including Individual, Family or Friend of Woodson memberships. Senior Yard Signs
Senior yard signs are now for sale! Show your Senior pride by displaying a Class of 2026 Yard Sign! They are $25.00 each and can be purchased on the PTSO website. All proceeds support the Class of 2026 All Night Graduation Party. Questions? Contact ariannepm@gmail.com.
Student Driver Magnets and Partners for Safe Teen Driving Seminars
Attention all 10th grade students and their parents! All new drivers and parents must attend a state mandated traffic safety seminar, Partners for Safe Teen Driving. The PTSO will be selling Student Driver magnets at these events, and you can also purchase the magnets on the PTSO website. You can purchase one magnet for $8, or 3 magnets for $20.
The first seminar will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, and additional seminars will be offered on November 19th, February 11th and April 8th. Seminars will begin at 6:30 PM and will take place in the Woodson Auditorium.
First PTSO Meeting
Save the date for our first PTSO meeting on Tuesday, September 16th at 7 PM! Please join us to hear from our Principal, Mr. Graeta, and the PTSO about upcoming events, fundraising efforts, and other important Woodson information. Our first meeting will be in person in the Woodson Library. Meetings are typically 30 minutes, but our first meeting may run a little longer as we get settled into the new school year.

C.G. Woodson Band Tag Day- September 6
The Marching Cavaliers will be coming to your neighborhood on Saturday, September 6!
On Tag Day, students go door-to-door to homes in the Woodson area asking for donations to support band activities. This is, by far, the largest fundraiser for the C.G. Woodson Band. Contributions go towards marching band show design, music & band instrument purchases & repairs, and assistance to students with financial needs, just to name a few. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
So be on the lookout for the Marching Cavaliers on Saturday, Sept. 6. This is a rain or shine event. They do pay close attention to “No Soliciting” signs. They will not stop by those houses. So if you would like a visit, please make sure you take down or turn around your sign if you have one. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Come out for our first Woodson Chorus fundraising restaurant night of the year on Tuesday, August 26! Order from Noodles & Company from 4 - 8 p.m. and mention Woodson Chorus so we can receive 25% back! Thank you for your support.

Come out and support our varsity teams on Wednesday, August 27th!
- Girls Game: 5:30 PM
- Boys Game: 7:15 PM
Let’s cheer loud for both varsity teams!
Concessions will be open – grab a hot dog or slice of pizza, or try our new item: warm pretzels!
