Dear Mason Crest Families,

We are looking forward to welcoming all our families back to our classrooms. Here are some things to do to ensure you and your child are ready:

☑️ Sign Up for SIS ParentVUE

Access your student’s attendance records, grades, and assignments at any time with SIS ParentVUE. Contact our registrar at 571-226-2600 or daabughannam@fcps.edu if you need an activation code. 

Update Your Contact Information

Be sure you receive important information! Update your phone number(s) and/or email address(es) in the Parent/Guardian section of SIS ParentVUE. 

☑️ Update Immunizations and Records

Immunizations are required for all students to attend school in Virginia. This is an important part of protecting them from certain diseases and keeping them healthy. 

When your child is immunized, remember to request a copy of their immunization record and bring that to our front office or submit the record via SIS ParentVUE as soon as possible. Find more information on FCPS’ website.

☑️ Learn About School Meals

Parents/caregivers need to provide their students with money to purchase meals at school, send them with a packed lunch, or apply (and be approved) for free and reduced-price meal benefits

Volunteers & Teacher Luncheon

Our PTO is looking for parent volunteers to help sort school supplies on Tuesday and Wednesday and support our teacher luncheon on Friday afternoon. If you are available or would like to donate a dessert or drink, please use the following link. Thank you for making our teachers feel special as we prepare for the start of school.


Welcome Back to School

Welcome Walk & Open House

Students will have the first opportunity to meet their teacher this Wednesday, August 13th during our annual Welcome Walk. Teacher teams will be visiting homes to say hello and leave a little gift welcoming each student to their classroom. The walk will take place between 5:00 -7:30 p.m. If you are not able to be at home during that window of time, please do not worry the teachers will leave the gift for your child to receive it later.

Open House will take place on Friday, August 15th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Students and families will be able to visit classrooms in preparation of the first day of school. We hope you can join us!


School Supplies

Mason Crest provides school supplies for every student so students will have what they need for learning in the classroom. We ask that families provide a backpack to bring their communication folder back and forth each day. If you are in need of a backpack, please call the school at 571-226-2600 or email our family liaison at erdenman@fcps.edu.
