WE lead the Charge!
Michelle Case - Subschool 2
Congratulations and welcome to Ms. Michelle Case, new Assistant Principal at Chantilly High School. Michelle brings over 20 years of experience in FCPS, both as a teacher and administrator. She began her career as a social studies teacher at Mount Vernon High School before transitioning to an assistant principal at both West Potomac High School and Kilmer Middle School. Michelle served in the Chantilly pyramid as the Director of Student Services and interim principal at Franklin Middle School before returning to high school this past year as an assistant principal at Woodson High School. Michelle will supervise students in subschool 2 with last names HERM-MAK, as well as the Category A special education and Visual Arts departments in her new role at Chantilly.
Outside of school, Michelle is the proud mom of a 8th grader at Rocky Run Middle School and a 5th grader at Greenbriar West Elementary School, as well as 2 stepsons, including a 5th grader and 3rd grader. She spends most weekends on the soccer field supporting her boys, as well as coaching her daughter’s field hockey team. She loves opportunities to travel with her husband, spoiling her 2 labrador retrievers, Penn State football, and Caps hockey.
Viridiana Magee - Subschool 4
Welcome Viridiana (Viry) Magee, new Assistant Principal at Chantilly High School joining subschool 4, where she will supervise students with the last names U-Z and the English department. Mrs. Magee started her career as a Spanish teacher, then a teacher of English for Multilingual Learners, and most recently served as the Systems of Support Advisor (SOSA) at Herndon High School. She is also a proud graduate of Fairfax County Public Schools’ Accelerated Certification Cohort (ACC), from which she obtained her endorsement in Administration and Supervision preK-12. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and K-12 Education with Minors in French and Intercultural Studies from Elmhurst University, and a Master’s Degree from George Mason University.
With almost 20 years of experience in public education, Mrs. Magee brings a wealth of experience, a deep commitment to student success, and a strong background in fostering inclusive, empowering, and academically rigorous learning environments. She is a firm believer in nurturing the whole student—academically, socially, and emotionally. As an enthusiastic lifelong learner, she is passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships and fostering a strong sense of community. She looks forward to experiencing what makes Chantilly High School so unique and to working alongside its dedicated staff and students to "Lead the Charge" for a successful school year!
Sonny Romine - Subschool 2
I'm pleased to announce that Sonny Romine will be changing roles within the Chantilly High School community as the new administrator in sub school 2 and supervisor for Mathematics and Academic Interventions. Sonny is a proud CHS alumnus and is deeply committed to serving our students and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
After graduating from Bridgewater College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Sonny pursued a Master of Special Education from George Mason University and completed his Administration and Supervision certification at Virginia Tech. His professional experience includes supervising attendance, Category A special education, and MTSS interventions here at CHS. Sonny is enthusiastic about applying this background to his new role and working with our students and staff to ensure success for all learners.
Outside of his professional life, Sonny enjoys spending time with his family, including his two young children and their pets. His personal interests include sports, movies, reading, and music.
