Summer Office Hours
- A reminder that during the summer the Hybla Valley Main Office will be open 9 AM - 2 PM Monday through Friday.
Husky Welcome Open House - August 15, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

What is a Husky Welcome? Husky Welcome is our annual school Open House event where students and families can come to Hybla Valley, find classrooms, and meet teachers.
- The building will be open so it's a great opportunity to walk around and meet our faculty.
- The Hybla Valley clinic will be open should a parent or family member want to check in with our Clinic or drop off medication.
- Administrators will be available to help answer any questions.

Student Arrival Time
- To ensure appropriate supervision, students will not be permitted to enter the building until 9:10 AM beginning on the first day of school.
- Entrances 1, 5, 7, and 11 are the only approved points of entry to the building. After 9:10 AM, all students and visitors must use door 1.
2025-2026 Cell Phone Policy for Elementary Schools

Cell phones and personal devices (airpods, earbuds, headsets, other items connected to the internet) must be off and away for the entire school day (bell to bell). Phones can be stored in a backpack during the day.
- Phone accessories are also to be silenced and away when phone use is prohibited. Smart watches that serve a dual purpose may be worn, but the phone features (texting, Internet viewing, and calls) are to be off when phone use is prohibited.
- Students are prohibited from using phones, tablets, and other mobile devices in restrooms unless there is a medical necessity or emergency.
- Cell phones are not permitted to be used as an instructional tool.

Summer Meals for Students
- FCPS' Summer Meal Service Program provides breakfast and lunch free of charge to all children aged 18 and younger. Check FCPS’ Food and Nutrition Services webpage and the USDA Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder for specific dates, times, and locations. If you have any questions regarding the Summer 2025 meal service, please email SummerMeals@fcps.edu or call 703-813-4800.
- Hybla Valley Elementary is offering the Meal Service Program at the following times:
Lunch from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM in the cafeteria
- Meals will be served from June 16 through August 15, 2025

- We are so excited to see our Hybla Valley Husky students on Monday, August 18th! Doors open at 9:10 AM.
