Summer Meet & Greets with the Administration

Popsicles on the Playground
- Tuesday, August 5
- New kindergarten families, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
- Grades 1 & 2, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 6
- Grades 3 & 4, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
- Grades 5 & 6, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
School Supplies
Lorton Station will purchase the majority of school supplies for the upcoming school year but parents please check our website for the needed items for the 2025 - 2026 school year.

August 13: Open House (Kindergarten Families): 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Come anytime during this event to meet your teacher, reconnect with friends and meet new classmates, join the LSES PTA, and more!

August 14: Open House (Grades 1 - 6): 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Come anytime during this event to meet your teacher, reconnect with friends and meet new classmates, join the LSES PTA, and more!

August 18: First Day of School for 2025-2026. School starts at 9:20 a.m. and ends at 4:05 p.m.
- August 29/September 1: Labor Day Holiday. School is closed for staff and students.

September 4: LSES Back to School Night. 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Details coming soon.

September 18: Fall Picture Day. Look for order forms after school starts.

September 17: Three Hour Early Release. Students dismissed at 1:05 p.m. Additional details can be found here.
