July 3, 2025
Happy Day Fairfax Families,
As we approach the end of this short week, there's a palpable excitement in the air for the 4th of July celebrations! This holiday is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather with loved ones, enjoy the summer weather, and reflect on the values that unite us. You will be able to see our very own Fairfax Marching Band in action tomorrow at the City of Fairfax Independence Parade. You can also head on over to Fairfax High tomorrow night for spectacular fireworks and community fun!
We are also excited to see all our LIONS taking summer classes back here at FHS on Monday. Students taking summer classes please make sure you have checked your email and arranged for transportation. Our FHS City Schools World Language Camp will also kick off on Monday and our elementary and middle school friends will be immersed in a cultural journey of Latin, Spanish, German, and French language activities for the week.
Have a SPECTACULAR HOLIDAY! 🎉✨
Sincerely,

📱Cell Phone Policy Update
Beginning in August, high school students can only use their cell phones and other personal devices (AirPods, smart watches, etc.) during lunch and before or after school. This is a change from FCPS’ current cell phone policy, which allows high schoolers to use devices during passing periods. Next school year, students must keep devices off and away during classroom time and during passing periods between classes.

FCPS has recently changed the website where students/parents will register for sports/activities at Fairfax HS. All students must be registered prior to tryouts. Please Note: Each family must create ONE new account—you can register multiple children under this single account.
