🦁🎓🎉 Congrats, Class of 2025!!!

June 6, 2025
Celebrating the Class of 2025: Ready for the Future!
What an unforgettable week it has been! We officially celebrated the graduation of the Fairfax High School Class of 2025, and it's clear that these remarkable young adults are ready to accomplish truly PAWSome things.
This week was also filled with well-deserved recognition at our Senior Awards Ceremony. We had the privilege of celebrating countless student achievements, from outstanding contributions in community service and exceptional performance across various curriculum areas to significant commitments to military service and higher education.
In a cherished new tradition, our seniors then enjoyed returning to where their journey began. They visited six elementary schools and one middle school, walking the halls one last time. It was heartwarming to see former teachers and fond memories fill the air as our graduates reconnected with the places and people who helped shape their path to graduation day.
From the hallowed halls of the Ivy League to dedicated Military Service, and from the strong foundations of Junior Colleges to direct Career Placements, this group of students crossed the stage with clear plans and immense potential. Their diverse paths reflect their individual strengths, passions, and the incredible preparation they've received during their time at FHS.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible staff, parents, guardians, and, of course, the students themselves for supporting and celebrating this journey every step of the way. Your collective dedication has helped shape these graduates into the confident, capable individuals they are today. They are ready to ROAR! We can't wait to see the impact the Class of 2025 will make on the world.
Sincerely,

Tree Removal Notification

As part of the Blenheim Boulevard Multimodal Improvements Project, overhead utilities at Fairfax High School must be relocated. This work requires removing approximately 55 trees along the school’s frontage and surrounding area. Trees to be removed have been marked with a white X.
Tree removal will occur during the summer break, and utility relocation will be completed before school resumes in the fall. This schedule has been coordinated with school representatives to ensure minimal disruption. The area will be replanted this fall with native tree species that will not interfere with overhead utilities.
The multimodal improvements project consists of constructing a two-way cycle track and a shared use path on the north side of Blenheim Boulevard, a continuous sidewalk on the south side, and upgraded bus stops and shelters throughout the corridor. Construction is anticipated to begin next summer.
The city council discussed the project during a work session on June 3. Watch the discussion. View the presentation.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sunny Sarna, capital projects manager, at 703-273-3067.
