NOVA’s Early Online College
NOVA’s Early Online College is back for the Fall 2025 Semester!

- 13 courses offered
- Courses run for 12 weeks
- Courses are asynchronous, online, and for college credit only
- Students must meet eligibility requirements (GPA or available test scores) to take EOC courses

New Textbook Policy: Some EOC courses require a textbook. Students will be automatically enrolled in NOVA ALL ACCESS ($22.50 per credit hour). Students may make the payment for course materials in their myNOVA account or opt out and purchase the course materials on their own. Spring 2025 SOL Score Reporting
We want to thank our students and families for their flexibility and support during our Spring 2025 SOL testing. We are still working with students on makeup testing and/or retakes; we are grateful that we were able to successfully administer 2100+ SOL’s in May alone. Formal SOL score reports will begin posting to SIS ParentVUE Documents as we approach the end of the school year.
-
Grade 12 students - Daily beginning Tuesday, May 20
-
Grade 9-11 students - Daily beginning Wednesday, May 28
As a reminder, families and students also have access to SOL preliminary scores in SIS ParentVUE and StudentVUE with updates 1-2 times weekly.
If you have any questions about your student’s SOL scores, please contact Jillian Domenech, CHS Assessment Coach, jcdomenech@fcps.edu
Chantilly High School Sports Physical Registration Spots still open!
It is officially time to start planning for the 2025-2026 school year. The first step to participate in any preseason or afterschool athletic event is completing a VHSL Sports Physical (https://www.vhsl.org/vhsl-physical-form/). The Chantilly High School Athletic Training Department will be offering sports physicals at Chantilly High School on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. We provide a comprehensive physical evaluation with several stations including height, weight, blood pressure, vision screening, and orthopedic and postural evaluations performed by Athletic Trainers, Nurses, EMTs, and Physical Therapists.
This physical will be good for all sports and out-of-season practices (green days, yellow days, weight room workouts) for the 2025-2026 school year. This event is a fundraiser for the Chantilly High School Athletic Training Department and goes to support the athletes at Chantilly High School. We receive NO FUNDING from the county or from game ticket sales, and this event is how we raise money to purchase medical supplies (bandages, gauze, tape, crutches, splints, etc) and modalities that we use for all the sports teams for the entire school year. The cost of the physical is $50 when you register online, $60 for walk-ins. Appointment times range from 5:30-7:30pm.
You can register by following this link: 2025 Athletic Physical Registration
We are always looking for medical and non-medical volunteers to assist us for the event. If you are interested in helping out or have any questions, please contact me at ChantillyHSATP@fcps.edu.
Thank you for your continued support!

Lightspeed Parent Weekly Reports
As a reminder, FCPS offers a free service that allows parents to stay informed about your child's online activity on any FCPS device. By completing the Lightspeed Parent Report Request, enrolling parents can sign up to receive a weekly report summarizing the websites your child visits while using an FCPS device. These reports are delivered directly to a parent's email address over the weekend by Lightspeed, FCPS's internet content filter. Visit the Lightspeed Parent Report page on the FCPS website for more information and directions on how to sign up.
Each weekly report includes a link to register for the Lightspeed Parent Portal, which provides more detailed browsing information. This portal also gives parents the ability to pause internet access on their child’s FCPS laptop during non-school hours, such as dinner or bedtime.
Downloading Student Google Drive
If your student is preparing to graduate or leave FCPS for any reason, it’s important to know that their Google Workspace account will be automatically deactivated once they are no longer actively enrolled in FCPS. This process happens during the summer, shortly after the end of the school year. Once a student account is deactivated, there will will no longer be access to FCPS Google Drive or access to FCPS Gmail.
If any student will no longer be an FCPS student after this school year, they must download or export any files they wish to keep before the end of the school year. The download process of files can take several days, so please make sure to check in with your students. They should be starting that process now.
Students will have the option to use Google Takeout to export their files. Visit Google’s directions here: How to download your Google data using Takeout. It’s important to know that you will only be able to export files for which you are the owner.
If students would prefer to manually select files from your Drive to download, follow the Downloading Your Data instructions on the Google Workspace Information for Students and Parents page of the FCPS website.
