FHS Baseball Spring Break

April 18, 2025

Hello Fairfax Family,

We hope this message finds you refreshed and rejuvenated after a wonderful spring break! As the final stretch of the school year begins, we are ready to ROAR with energy and enthusiasm straight through to the finish line.

This upcoming week is brimming with opportunities to celebrate the incredible talent and hard work within our Fairfax Pyramid. We are thrilled to host our Fairfax Pyramid Art Show on Tuesday. This special event will showcase the creativity of our own Fairfax High School artists, as well as the budding talents of our middle and elementary school friends. It's a fantastic opportunity to witness the diverse artistic expressions within our community and to highlight the thoughtful pedagogy, dedicated practice, and impressive portfolio work of our students.

The accolades continue throughout the week as our departments begin their recognition events. We eagerly anticipate celebrating the exemplary skills and talents of students who have shone brightly in each content area. Get ready to applaud their achievements!

We are also incredibly excited to support our AP Seminar students as they begin their presentations this week. This is a key component of their rigorous coursework, and we look forward to witnessing their insightful research and compelling delivery.

For our seniors, this week marks the beginning of Senior SOL testing. Let's rally around our graduating class and provide them with the support they need to successfully complete this final requirement as we work towards finalizing those graduation checklists.

Get ready for a truly PAWSome🐾week filled with art, recognition, academic milestones, and community spirit!

In partnership and collaboration,

Good Friday/Orthodox Good Friday, April 18

Good Friday

Good Friday, the Friday before Easter, is the day on which Christians annually observe the commemoration of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Good Friday is a day of mourning. During special Good Friday services Christians meditate on Jesus's suffering and death on the cross, and what this means for their faith. This week we recognize those in our community observing Good Friday. On this day, Christians observe the commemoration of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for those who believe. #OurFCPS
