winter break

December 19, 2024

From the Principal’s Pen

Dear Laurel Hill Families,

We would like to thank our first grade students, families, and teachers for their hard work around the Economy Emporium. Students learned about our economy while practicing being producers and consumers. See the photos below of this amazing event put together by our first grade team!

We also want to take this time to remind families about our arrival time. School opens at 9:05am, and students should be in their seats ready to learn by 9:20am. Students arriving at or after 9:20am should be signed in by a parent or guardian in the main office. We appreciate your adhering to this protocol.

As the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to you for being such an integral part of our Laurel Hill Elementary community. Your support, enthusiasm, and partnership have made a meaningful impact on our students’ learning and growth. Together, we have created an environment where every child can thrive, explore, and achieve.

During this special time of year, we hope that this winter break brings warm moments of peace, joy, and connection with your loved ones. Whether you’re celebrating near or far, may you find all that your heart desires this season.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to an exciting and successful New Year!

Sincerely,

Janice Dalton, Principal

Addison Smith, Assistant Principal

Thmeaka Traylor, Assistant Principal

Clothes Pantry

Our loaner clothes area is looking a bit bare. If your student had to borrow clothing from the school stock, please remember to return the clean laundered clothes that your child used. Younger children may want to keep emergency clothes in their backpack. Also please consider donating clean, good condition clothing in child sizes. We are in great need of elastic waist pants for both girls and boys in sizes 5/6 to 12/14.
