Dear Bee Families,

As the weather begins to cool down, we're excited to welcome you to a new quarter filled with learning and fun!

A Few Friendly Reminders:

  • Labeling is Key: Please remember to label all sweatshirts and coats 🧥 with your child's name. This helps us return lost items quickly.
  • Healthy Eating: To maintain a healthy environment, we kindly ask that you avoid bringing fast food 🍔 to the cafeteria.
  • Acts of Kindness: We're collecting donations of pants 👖for students who may have accidents during the day. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Upcoming Events:

  • Homecoming Parade: We invite you to join us for the Homecoming Parade! Let's show our school spirit by dressing up in space-themed attire and walking alongside our float. This event takes place Saturday, November 9th.
  • Full Time Advanced Academics Screening Meeting: Please mark your calendars for the Full Time Advanced Academics Screening Meeting on November 7th at 6:00 PM.

A Note of Reassurance:

We understand that the upcoming presidential election may cause some anxiety. Please be assured that we will take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.

As always, we are a team. Please let us know what questions or celebrations you may have.

Warmly,

HES Administrative Team

📝Return Your Federal Impact Aid Survey

FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Federal Impact Aid Survey. The form is available in SIS ParentVUE under Online Packets (in the upper right corner after logging in). Please complete it as soon as possible.

Schools will provide paper forms to families who have not completed the survey in ParentVUE by Monday, November 11. Paper forms should be returned by Monday, December 4.

Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is important. Information from this survey resulted in more than $4 million in funding last year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For more information, please watch this video on Impact Aid and visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page.

Register for ParentVUE

Learn how to activate your SISParentVUE account, so you can easily submit your survey and have access to other helpful information about your child. Technical support for using ParentVUE or submitting the survey online is available by submitting a Parent Support Request ticket. Select SISParent in the Application dropdown menu and type Federal Impact Aid Survey in the Issue Description section. You may also call the Parent Technology Help Desk at 833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS).
