Happy Friday Fairfax Family and Friends,
Tonight is always an exciting night at FHS. We invite all of our future lions to high school to enjoy the experience of community and activities. They will get to visit club tables, bounce in the house, say "hello" to their favorite furry friends at the petting zoo, dance with all of our pyramid mascots, and the crowd favorite --ROAR and RUN through the tunnel onto the football field. Pyramid Night begins at 5:30pm and Game Time is at 7:00pm.
Fairfax High School is focused on ensuring that every SENIOR has a post-secondary plan. We promote college visits, trade schools, community college, military options, industry certifications, and special services. We are so excited to announce that in our first year of partnership, we have had over 223 seniors participate in the direct admissions program with George Mason University. Our collaboration and opportunities with GMU create PAWSome pathways for our LIONS.
Next week we will be both offering both PSAT testing and SAT testing on Wednesday. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will need to come to school well rested and with charged laptops. We will also host a Multilingual Career Fair on Wednesday that offers employment opportunities, guest speakers, and a student panel for all of our eligible ML students. On Wednesday, our Freshman class will participate in an unscheduled school day and do not attend but do have the opportunity to work on assignments and plan ahead.
The rain has taken a break and the sun is shining more, I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy this weekend and always ROAR!
