PickUp Patrol Reminders 🚗
Don't forget, we have an early release this Monday! School will dismiss at 1:00 PM for families that have confirmed Early Dismissal and supervision at home. All other students will dismiss at 4:00 pm. If you haven’t shared your plan, your student will dismiss at 4:00 pm.
There is now an Early Release Monday on December 9th (date changed from November 25). Please update your calendars!
All houses will meet on Monday morning in various locations on our campus! We will have fun activities, review expectations for earning points, and talk about the importance of school attendance. Students are encouraged to wear their House Color on Monday for these fun meetings to show their House spirit!
From September 15 to October 15, FCPS recognizes and celebrates the histories and cultures of the members of our community who trace their heritage to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Wear your House Color on Thursday!!
Every year, approximately 600,000 military-connected families relocate. Most of these families move to new duty stations, while some transition out of the military and others transition in. Most of these moves take place over the summer, and Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to ensuring our military families feel welcomed and a sense of belonging to their local community.
Blue Star Welcome Week is an opportunity for our community to welcome our military-connected families and show them our appreciation for their service and sacrifices. Throughout the week, FCPS will help ease their transition through events, messages, actions of welcome, and opportunities to make meaningful connections. Please help us welcome our military families during Blue Star Welcome Week, September 21 - September 29, 2024, and throughout the year! #BlueStarWelcomeWeekFCPS

As a reminder, there is NO PASSING in the Kiss and Ride pickup line unless directed by a staff member. It is unsafe for our students to load while cars are moving around them. Please do not exit your car when picking up your student in the afternoon. Our patrols will assist them in getting into the car, if you need to buckle them up, please pull out of the kiss and ride line and around the corner to do so. This keeps the kiss and ride line moving and helps us keep it running smoothly.

Use PickUp Patrol to report absences
In emergencies, email or call the front office
This is a reminder to put your students' absence, arriving late, or leaving school early in Pickup Patrol (PUP). All default plans should be up to date. Make sure you change the default plan anytime you change your students' permanent dismissal. Emails and phone calls are no longer encouraged, except for emergencies. When you enter a change in PUP, it goes directly to your child’s teacher as well as our front office staff. Please remember to provide a reason for the absence, late arrival or early dismissal. Changes must be entered on PUP by 2:30pm each day. If you need assistance setting up your PickUp Patrol account, please reach out to Adriana Barreto at 703-633-6400 or aabarreto@fcps.edu.
