We need two parents to represent and participate in Dr. Reid's Family Vision Group. Please email Kelly Sheers if you are interested in being WSES parent representative!
- The group will meet regularly with FCPS Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid to engage in meaningful conversations. Family Vision Group members will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences as we work together to achieve the goals outlined in our 2023-2030 Strategic Plan: excellence, equity, and opportunity for each and every student.
- The Family Vision Groups will be an opportunity to share diverse perspectives to ensure that FCPS provides the best possible education for each and every student.
- Key responsibilities of the FCPS Superintendent’s Family Vision Group include:
- Support the Superintendent's outreach efforts to engage families and community members.
- Actively participate in the exchange of information and perspectives on major division topics.
- Serve as ambassadors to your school community by being an additional bridge to sharing information between families and the superintendent.
- Commit to pursuing the interest of each and every student in Fairfax County Public Schools.
- Meetings will be held every other month starting in September. Once the Community Relations staff receive your participant names and contact information, we will send them additional details on the Family Vision Group meetings, etc.
- Childcare, language interpretation, and transportation will be provided as needed.
