  • Bus routes and times should be shared in SIS Student Vue and Parent Vue.  You will also likely receive text and email updates from FCPS Transportation.
  • Student Schedules: Please have your student check their schedule in SIS Student Vue on Sunday night as we as still making some slight schedule adjustments  and we want to be sure that everyone has their most accurate schedule for the first day.
  • Schedule Changes: We will not be making any schedule changes August 21-August 24 unless your student is missing a class, has “see counselor” as one of their classes, or is placed in the wrong course.
  • Beginning August 25, students may request a schedule change by emailing their counselor.  Schedule changes will only be made if there is space available in the requested course.
  • Academy/Online Campus: Students who are taking an academy or online campus course or who have an off campus waiver should report to the cafeteria for LS next week(just during the LS periods that coincide with academy/online class or waiver)
  • Students taking Academy Courses at Fairfax HS should refer to the message they received this week indicating the time and location of their shuttle to Fairfax HS.  They should carefully review the message for important details.

Chantilly Grading and Academic Integrity Policies

FCPS and Chantilly have updated our grading policies for 24-25. Please review the document below and visit our grading website for additional information. Grading information will also be included on course syllabi and reviewed during Back to School Night and the first few weeks of school. We look forward to communicating with you about your student's progress.

Grading

Start off Strong: Attendance Matters

96% of our families reported understanding that daily school attendance is important, yet 73% of our students who demonstrate chronic absenteeism are EXCUSED!

Starting this school year, parents and caregivers can submit full day absences through ParentVUE! This will replace the google attendance link used in the past. Please visit our website for more information on attendance procedures.

  • All Day Absences: Beginning in the 24-25 school year, parents/legal guardians can submit full-day absences using ParentVue. This feature allows for parents/legal guardians to submit up to 2 consecutive full day absences.
  • *Partial Absences: To report late arrivals, early dismissals, or to update already submitted attendance, please contact the appropriate sub-school directly.
  • Learn more about attendance reporting through ParentVue

Regular attendance is crucial for the academic success of all students. Studies have repeatedly proven that students with better attendance records perform better in school and are more likely to graduate high school on time.

SIS ParentVUE is for YOU!

SIS ParentVUE is the FCPS secure solution for accessing information about your child's attendance, class performance, demographic data, and link to Schoology. Your username and password is the same for both ParentVUE and Schoology.

  • SIS ParentVUE Account Provides: access to view your child’s student information, including attendance, report cards, class schedules, grade book (for Middle and High School students), course history, discipline, health, and school information.  Did you know you can elect to get weekly grade reports delivered right to your inbox?  Open ParentVUE, click My Account, tap Notify and make your selections.
  • Need an account? Complete this account request.
  • Student Emergency Information Updates: Families can now verify and update their child's emergency information in SIS ParentVUE!  The Online Verification Update packet or OVU will allow parents to review and update phone numbers, emergency contacts and health information (such as health conditions and immunizations) for students. Enrolling parents will be able to access through their SIS ParentVUE account. OVU is currently available. Visit the FCPS webpage to learn more.
  • SIS ParentVue - Student Progress Report Opt In: Families are encouraged to set their preferences for receiving their student's progress updates on a regular basis. We encourage all families to sign up and stay up to date on student progress, grades, and assignments.
