Field Day is an exciting outdoor event held in many schools across the county. Field Day gives kids the chance to celebrate the school year coming to an end, show some class pride and spend a day being active.
Hybla Valley will be hosting a Field Day on the dates below:
Kindergarten - Monday, June 3rd
4th, 5th, 6th Grade - Tuesday, June 4th (Morning)
1st, 2nd, 3rd Grade - Tuesday, June 4th (Afternoon)
Please send a Change of Clothes for your child on Field Day. They must wear a shirt and shorts and tennis shoes. Send a towel and bottle of water in their backpack. Students may get wet during Field Day activities.

The 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 10th at 10:00 AM in the gym.
Please enter through Door #1. Seating is limited to two people per family.
The 6th Grade Party will also be on Monday, June 10th from 2:30 - 3:30 PM.
This party is only for 6th grade students. 6th grade students must attend the full day of school on Monday, June 10th, to participate.

Special Harbor Sprayground at the Franconia Rec Center

If you like running through the sprinkler, you’ll love Our Special Harbor. This fully accessible Chesapeake-Bay themed sprayground has fun features including a spraying osprey nest, Chessie the sea serpent, misting sunflowers and a lighthouse. The beach area is quieter with softer bubblers and interactive water tables. The computerized water maze and dumping crab basket provide more lively activity.
For safety, children (15 years and younger) enjoying the spray park, MUST wear aquatic shoes or sandals with a manufactured back strap at all times; non-standing, non-mobile, babies are exempt; adults may wear flip-flops instead of aquatic shoes or sandals with a manufactured back strap. Street shoes are NOT PERMITTED in the sprayground.
General Admission is FREE for families; however there is a daily fee for each participant and chaperone for commercial or nonprofit groups. $5 for Fairfax County residents, $10 for Non-County residents.
