Flint Hill Updates

Good Afternoon Flint Hill Families,

End-of-year activities are really beginning to pick up around FHES! This afternoon families joined 2nd grade to see the many wonderful research projects that students created. I was impressed by the students communication skills they have been building this year!

On Tuesday, I shared a special lunch with Jack in 4th grade and a few of his friends. Jack won the prize for his read-a-thon participation. It was a nice time to hear from students about what they enjoy about Flint Hill, their ideas for improving our school and their summer plans.

Also this week, the after-school art camp was busy in the courtyard with Ms. McAllister creating chalk paintings with everything from beach scenes, rainbows to abstract splatter paintings.

Show What You Know was a big success! It was a great opportunity to see students share their knowledge and even take the stage as they shared information about their topics with the crowd.

The final PTA meeting of the year was held on Monday night. I would like thank the members of the PTA board and committee chairs who made this year a successful, supportive year for Flint Hill. This year, the PTA's support has allowed for new projector installations, funding for field trips, resources for instruction, licenses for instructional programs and much more. Thank you for the time, planning and care you have shared to make this all possible!

See the information in the message below about how to order school supply kits from the PTA! Our school code is FLI018.

Don't forget, Flint Hill Staff will play in a friendly game of basketball against Vienna Elementary on Thursday, May 30th at 6:00 pm at Madison HS. See the message below about how to purchase tickets for the event and other ways to join in the fun! Students will join in for an afternoon pep rally next week to get excited for the game. Students are invited to wear their grade level colors on Wednesday and wear white on Thursday to show team spirit. Go FHES!

Kindly,

Mr. Montaquila, Principal

Mr. Baker, Assistant Principal
