A Note from Principal Briggs

Rainbow

Dear Parents,

It's not very often we get to see a double rainbow arcing over our very own school! Rainbows have also held special meaning for many cultures throughout history.

Here at our school, I see it as a symbol of hope and new beginnings. It appears after a storm, reminding us that even after challenges, there is always a chance for sunshine and brighter days.

We will use this  beautiful image as inspiration to keep moving forward, embrace new possibilities, and continue to learn and grow together.

We hope you all enjoy the long weekend!

Sincerely,

Amy Briggs

Countdown

Last Chance for Parent Input for 24-25 School Year

As we near the end of the school year, we'd like to provide an opportunity for families in our community to reflect on how their child(ren) have changed and grown over the past year and think about how their personalities and characteristics shape their experiences as a learner.  Gathering some brief information about each child will assist us in constructing class groupings for the 24-25 school year and provide your child's future teacher with valuable information from the family's perspective.  We will be collecting responses through May 24th.  Please fill out this Google form to capture your input. We look forward to working together with you as we plan the coming school year.

LAST CALL FOR LOST & FOUND ITEMS

All items not claimed by Friday, June 7th will be donated!

Please scroll through the Lost and Found Website to find your child's missing coats, jackets, hoodies, gloves, hats or sweaters! There are literally hundreds of items, all without names, and we're sure you'd like these back home where they belong! We've added brand and sizing info to the photos to help parents recognize items. The website provides instructions on what to do if you see your child's items in the linked PDF photos.  Looking for name tags?  The Spring Hill PTO has partnered with Mabel's Labels to make it easy to label your child's items. PLUS, purchase Mabel's Labels and the PTO will receive a portion of the proceeds. It's win-win - your child's items don't stay lost and you're supporting the PTO! Go ahead...purchase now for camp, the pool, and of course back-to-school (when those cool mornings and warm afternoons make the lost and found so popular).  To ensure that our PTO gets credit for your label purchases, click the Support a Fundraiser Link on the Mabel's Labels Home Page and enter "Spring Hill Elementary School PTO" in the search bar. You can also enter "Spring Hill Elementary School PTO" at checkout in the Support a Fundraiser bar.  Happy labelling and thank you for helping us get all of the lost & found items back to their rightful owners!

Medication Information

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. All information regarding medication can be found here.

The 6th Grade Party will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, and registering your child is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

During this day-long celebration, the students will wear their 6th Grade t-shirts (that they received at the start of this year), play outdoor games, attempt to drench teachers and staff in the dunk tank, eat a picnic lunch, dance to the jams of the DJ in the beach-themed gym, and guess “Who’s Who” in the baby photo contest, among other fun activities. Our graduates will end the day watching a touching slideshow filled with memories and photos from their time at Spring Hill.

To register your child for this spectacular event, please visit the 6th Party Website to complete the 6th Grade Party Checklist (STEPS 1 – 3) below:

  1. STEP 1 – Tickets
