Flint Hill Updates

Good Afternoon Flint Hill Families,

Rain could not stop all the learning at FHES this week! There were exciting events in classrooms from baby chicks hatching in Mrs. Steven's 5th grade class, students from JMHS joining many of our classrooms for their senior projects, ink printing in art, memoir writing in 6th grade and much more.

See the information in the message below about how to order school supply kits from the PTA! Our school code is FLI018.

Don't forget, Flint Hill Staff will play in a friendly game of basketball against Vienna Elementary on Thursday, May 30th at 6:00 pm at Madison HS. See the message below about how to purchase tickets for the event and other ways to join in the fun!

SWYK will be held on May 20th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm! After SWYK, stop by the library for our next PTA meeting at 7:00 pm! Representatives from 2nd and 3rd grade will join the meeting to share more about current events in their classrooms!

Kindly,

Class Placement Input Opportunity (Due by May 16th)

summer school

To help us prepare for the upcoming school year, we are seeking parent/family input to build class lists for the 24-25 school year. Please take a moment to complete the optional input form below.

Sharing input about your students' areas of strength, need and interest will help our staff build balanced, effective classes that meet student needs. Also, sharing other circumstances that may be unique to your student can also be considered.

Please do not share requests for specific teachers and placement with specific students. In building class lists for over 600 students, it is not possible to meet all requests. Feedback that includes requests for specific teachers will not be included in our review.

1.) Please describe your child's strengths and areas of need.

2.) Are there any extenuating circumstances or factors that may influence our decision regarding placement for the 2024-2025 school year?

Please provide all input through the link below (Deadline: May 16th). Emailed comments will not be considered.

Thank you for helping FHES prepare for the upcoming school year!

School Supply Kit Sales - Order by June 25th!

It's time to place your School Supply Kit order for the 2024-2025 school year! The PTA is excited to once again offer our popular school supply kit program. Visit educationalproducts to get everything you need for next school year from the convenience of your own home. (Please remember to order NEXT year’s grade level supplies for your student.) Our school code is FLI018. These kits match our school requirements for each grade. When you buy through EPI, $5 from every kit goes toward school supplies for children in need at FHES and other FHES PTA endeavors. Thanks for your support!

Are you interested in providing additional support for Flint Hill students in need of assistance with their school supplies?  Please consider purchasing additional kits for our Guidance Department to distribute.  Any grade level kit can be donated and the student’s name should read ‘DONATION’ in the First and Last Name fields. Thank you for your consideration!

Deadline to order is June 25th! All supplies will be delivered to your child's classroom prior to the first day of school. Questions? Please contact Erin Miller
