The Langley Debate Team is Class 6 VHSL State Champions! Leading the way for the Saxons was Vishwa Rakasi, who finished first in Lincoln-Douglas debate. The team of Ahaan Shah and Sahil Gubbi took second place in Public Forum debate, and Lara De finished in 20th place in Congressional debate. We are so proud of these students!
We salute Langley Model UN on winning the Best Large Delegation award (equivalent to First Place) at the Thomas Jefferson High School Model United Nations competition. Additionally, many of our students won individual awards, including seven first place titles.
Congratulations to the Langley Best Buddy chapter. They recently participated in the areawide Friendship Walk held in Washington, DC.
Congratulations to Jacob and Jordan Glover, Tanishka Bagade and Sanika Meka who were selected by the Virginia Bar Association and the YMCA to participate in a state-wide moot court competition.
We salute the fifty-two Langley Russian students who took part in the annual Olympiada of Spoken Russian at George Mason University.

As we conclude this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week, I would like to personally thank each member of our instructional staff for all they do for our students. Teachers are the heart of our school. We are truly fortunate to have such caring educators working with our students.
Thank you to PTSA for providing lunch for the staff today. It was a wonderful way to top off the celebratory week.
