A note from Dr. Goodloe
Dear Charger Families,
Staff Appreciation Week - Thank you Chantilly Staff!!!
This week at Chantilly, we have been celebrating our outstanding Chantilly Staff during Appreciation Week. We are grateful to our community partners and PTSA for their generous support of meals, snacks, treats and raffle prizes to celebrate the contributions of ALL staff at Chantilly. It has been an energizing week full of recognition and gratitude.
Attendance Updates - Attendance Matters!
Attendance matters, each and every day. Please know that EXCUSED, full day absences, count towards an individual student's Chronic Absenteeism as well as Chantilly High School's attendance and accreditation rating. It is critical that students (yes, even Seniors!) attend school each day. We ask for your assistance and support in ensuring your student attends classes and submits accurate attendance to their subschool. If you have any questions regarding attendance, please visit our website.
Celebrations and Recognitions
As the end of the 23-24 school year quickly approaches, we look forward to recognizing and celebrating our Chantilly Chargers! This week I have had the pleasure of celebrating along with teachers, coaches and families, our class of 2024 baseball, boys and girls soccer, Chantilly Academy signees for career contracts, and AVID college acceptances. Our Chargers Lead the CHARGE in so many outstanding ways. We cannot wait to recognize their contributions at upcoming concert performances, underclassman awards, convocation for seniors and graduation. Please be sure to read the Recognitions section below for additional student accomplishments!
Safety Reminders
Please remind your students to access the crosswalks when walking and biking to Chantilly HS and to follow instructions of all security staff and our crossing guard. Drivers, we remind you to follow the approved traffic patterns and to follow all security staff directions to ensure your safety through our parking lots and to protect our students and staff.
As always, I welcome your feedback, questions, and suggestions. Please share your thoughts with me here. I look forward to connecting with you at Chantilly very soon.
