Testing

A note from Dr. Goodloe

Dear Charger Families,

Thank you for your support and feedback as we piloted a new SOL testing bell schedule with flexible learning time for students. We had outstanding attendance for the assessments, and were encouraged by student engagement with teachers to catch up on work, study and prepare for end of year activities. Thank you especially for your patience with attendance verification updates. Our staff is working diligently to ensure all attendance coding is updated by close of business Friday, May 3.  If you note an attendance error, please reach out to your student's subschool next week.

May 6-10:  Chantilly Staff Appreciation Week

Next week we will celebrate and recognize all Chantilly staff members for their dedication, commitment, and amazing efforts on behalf of all students. While we have planned events to recognize staff with meals, raffle prizes and spirit wear, it is often the personal, small gestures from students and families that make the biggest impact. I encourage you and your students to send an email, share a card or handwritten note, or a small sweet treat with a staff member next week to show appreciation. We are grateful for our amazing Charger community and our partnership!

Celebrating Student Connections

We were so happy to see media coverage of the special event that our Chantilly students and staff participated in last week. Be sure to check out this feel good video about the FCPS Day Prom. Thank you to our Chantilly Academy Cosmetology students and Best Buddies for their support and friendship.  You can also read more about our Best Buddies Friendship walk below!
