 Girls Lacrosse - Future Laxers
Shout out to our group of you ladies that joined our girls lacrosse team last Thursday to help us celebrate Senior Night! These young laxers had a blast being introduced with the team and watching the game!
Athletic Booster Information
Our next meeting will be Tuesday, May 7th at 6:30pm, virtually. The link will be on the Justice Boosters webpage, and on the Student Activities LinkTree.
As we work through Spring Season, we must also plan Boosters leadership for next year. A few current officers are willing to continue serving in their positions, but all positions are officially opened for interested nominees each year. The Boosters will need a new President. Please reach out to let us know your interest, and to learn more about what a position entails.
We need volunteers to help with concessions this week and next. We must have at least two volunteers for each shift, one of which is an adult serving as shift supervisor. We welcome Justice student volunteers in the concessions stand, and they can get service hours for their time. All events are on the Justice Athletics Website, and all signup links are on the Boosters Main Page.

We’ve been waiting for the Charlottesville area crews to show up all season, and they finally came to the Occoquan on Saturday. With the higher level of competition, our crews put up their fastest times of the year. In the Women’s Junior 2x, in only their 2nd time rowing together, Mary Kenzie and Juliet Sage came in 4th with a time of 7:43.2. In the Women’s Senior 4x, the Justice A boat of Anna Lyons, Brooke Ehmann-Jones, Gretchen Hardy, and Sabrina Ehmann-Jones came in 3rd with a time of 5:59.4. The B boat of Silvia Smith, Ella Stavlund, Lorelei Friel, and Ashley Forrest finished 4th with a time of 6:17.7. In the Men’s Senior 4x, the Justice A boat of Charlie Hess, Tucker Trissell, David Caudillo, and Sam Schneider finished third with a time of 5:16.5. The B boat of Nicholas Kish, Josiah Nowlin, Roman Richey, Victor Smith and Coxswain Caroline Allison, finished 5h with a time of 6:02.3. The Virginia State Championship Regatta starts next week and runs for the next two Saturdays! Go Wolves!
PTSA News
GIFT CARDS FOR TEACHER APPRECIATION
The teacher's filled out a survey of how they'd prefer to celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6-10). After consulting with Principal Narcisse, the PTSA will repeat the popular gift card raffle we held during the holiday luncheon. However, this time our goal is to have one gift card for each teacher (there are 180+ teachers, 260+ total staff).
Gift cards can be dropped-off (or be delivered) to the front office until May 7.
Please label the delivery for for the PTSA. They can be of any amount and be Visa/Mastercard, from stores, or from restaurants. All we ask is that they NOT be digital gift cards (we learned from last time that we do not have the bandwidth to manage their redistribution).
Due to tax and accounting regulations for non-profits, it is much easier for us to have gift cards donated rather than to purchase them. But we won't turn down a donation to the teacher appreciation fund, if you can't send in gift cards: jhsptsa.org/teachers.

Please note that for the last year and a half, Fairfax County Public Schools paid for a countywide subscription for all schools and their communities. Unfortunately, FCPS will no longer be paying these fee. All of our events that take place on our stadium field and in our gymnasium will continue to be streamed live on the NFHS Network, but will now have a pay wall that the consumer will need to pay for.
